Camp

Vivid toadstools spectate as soaked tires spin past them.
Excited bees adventure around the pine forest while
Wanderlust children explore.
Busy lifeguards wonder around the cold concrete, as children wade through the water and splash and play. Then it gets dark, and all the children leave, the pools are now empty silent and calm .

Proud writing

The wind was rushing past my face, I held my stick on the ground ready to defend.

The sound of studs clicking on the metal steps of the bus made me rush as we all trampled out of the bus on to the concrete path ready to play a game of hockey.

Our coach slowly lowered the bag onto the soft squishy grass, I spooned out a ball and stick from the black bag.

After we had practiced a bit we decided to play, we were playing against Fendalton.  After half time we changed our positions I was mid and Summer was back.

I hit the ball toward the goal.  Summer and some Fendalton kids were fighting for the ball. I sprinted toward the ball as if I was a dog, the wind was rushing past my face. I held my stick on the ground then pushed, it went into the goal successfully.

The feeling of pride rushes past me like the wind, and that is a memory I will remember.

Taylors mistake

The salty water shimmers reflecting the bright summer sun.
The sound of happiness echos through my ear.
Peckish seagulls soar around like synchronized swimmers in the sky.
Wet dogs gallop along the sand line.
Wild waves clash and out back surfboards glide along the waves.
The wind is strong it pulls the sand away with it
into the sky, the bright blue sky.

Popcorn writing

Popcorn
We watched as the hard coated corn fell into the machine, we waited. The smell of melted butter wafted through the air then the popcorn started blasting this way and that, like a ping pong ball getting hit back and forth. Mrs Reynolds tried to control the monster. It fired back with hot balls of fury. Mrs Reynolds captured the monsters in three green bowls, our mouths drooling with saliva just at the sight of the deformed kernels. Mrs Reynolds passed a bowl full of the hot clouds. We each took a tiny bit and stared at it like it was the last food on earth, then in a split second it was gone.

Hiding spot

HIDING SPOT
Here I was wading through a pool of waist high grass at the Hannah's farm while running away from the light of the warm house,
looking in every direction for a sign of movement or a good hiding spot. I never thought I was a multitasking person, but today I was.

"I FOUND YOU." I heard a voice in the distance that made me feel like I really needed to hurry and find a hiding spot. "PING" a lightbulb went off in my head, I knew where to hide, I ran like the zombie apocalypse had just struck until I reached my spot.

The cold wet dew had fallen. it was late and lightless. I grabbed the cold metal handle and opened the rotten green door and entered the territory of the lawn mower. It smelt like freshly mown grass. I tripped over, I put my hand on the cold concrete walls to catch my fall.

After what seemed forever, I heard the sound of the door opening ‘CREAK’ it scared the creeps out of me, then a head popped out of nowhere saying "FOUND YOU."
